An Observatory is a structure used for observing objects in the night sky. Observatories tend to be located in dry, high places with the best opportunities for a clear sky but can also include any space observatory (Hubble Space Telescope for instance). They can also comprise of any sort of telescope including radio, infra-red, reflecting and refracting telescopes.
