Info | Whatever the level of your interest in astronomy, welcome to Letchworth & District Astronomical Society.
The LDAS is based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, UK. We are a medium sized and friendly society, holding regular meetings, star parties and public events for members and the public alike. Additionally we are more than happy to present talks to other clubs, schools and other organisations in the area.
We meet from 7:30 on the last Wednesday of each month at Plinston Hall in the centre of Letchworth, and we have an observatory (Lat 51o59'24" N, Long 0o14'34" W) to the north of Letchworth at the Standalone Farm Centre, where we hold observing sessions. Plinston Hall is the large building on the left-hand side of the northern end of the Broadway. In December our meeting is in the middle of the month, when we have our AGM and Quiz evening. |
